Discover the amazing critters and creatures most active at night on this Tortuguero night tour! Though there are many spectacular animals in Tortugeuro can be seen during the daytime, some of Tortuguero’s most fascinating and intriguing wildlife are much more likely to be found after the sun sets. Join your expert naturalist guide and embark on a trail just parallel to the beach on this walking night tour. Make multiple stops along the way, where your guide will use their keen senses to track down wildlife often invisible to the untrained eye. On this evening tour, an new cast of characters will be revealed, many of which are unseen during the day. On any given night you might be able to see frogs, toads, snakes, sloths, armadillos, porcupines, lizards, pacas, and more! Your guide will use flashlights and binoculars to help you get a close look of these nocturnal animals. You will also get the opportunity to learn more about the unique natural history of this area and why Tortuguero is such an important ecosystem for so many animals in Costa Rica. With the trail complete, you will make your way back to the village where your tour will conclude.

Your guide will have a flashlight to help spot animals, but your more than welcome to bring your own to assist in the search of wildlife. Though your experienced guides will do their best to locate wildlife, please note we must play by mother natures rules and seeing particular animals is no guarantee.
We ask that you please listen closely to your guides instructions and do not wonder off the trail.
Please be advised that Tortuguero is a coastal forest and rain is frequent in this area. This tour operates in rain or shine so please bring an umbrella if it rains.
