For those who want to enjoy some of the best adventure activities Costa Rica has to offer, look no further than this combo package at Hacienda Guachipelin. From your accommodation along the Guanacaste coastline, head to incredible adventure park of Hacienda Guachipelin at the foot of Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and get to enjoy five different activities including ziplining, horseback riding, river tubing, hot springs, and volcanic mud bath – all with lunch included!

Your tour begins at your accommodation, where your guide will pick you up from one of the many beaches and townships that make up the Guanacaste coastline, from Tamarindo all the way up to Playas del Coco and Liberia (full list of pick up spots are listed below). You’ll then head straight for Rincón de la Vieja National Park, well known as one the best adventure destinations of Costa Rica. Rincón de la Vieja is made up of several active and dormant volcanoes and includes a number of unique features including vast canyons, cascading waterfalls, rapids, hiking treks, and countless hot springs.

Upon arrival, you’ll strap yourself into a harness and then head straight to one of the canyons to start your ziplining adventure. This incredible canyon is home to many adventure activities which you can participate in. Enjoy 8 exhilarating zipline cables, 18 raised platforms, a large climbing wall, hanging bridge, the “via ferrata” cable rappel, and an exciting tarzan swing, all while be suspended over a large flowing river that lays between a magnificent canyon!

After all the excitement, slow things down with a soothing horse trek through one of the forests of Hacienda Guachipelin. Get saddled up and paired with your own horse before following your group through one of the forest paths. This is the perfect opportunity to get to see some of the local flora and fauna that make up Rincón de la Vieja.

With horse trekking complete, you will make your way to the changing rooms and get ready for your river tubing adventure. After a quick safety briefing and tutorial, you’ll make the short walk to the foot of the Victoria Waterfall where your river tubing adventure will commence. Make your way down a series of lazy rivers and exciting, bouncing rapids down Rio Negro’s crystal clear river which spans over a distance of 5 kilometers (just over 3 miles). Your guides will accompany you throughout the journey to ensure you reach the end of the river safely.

As the afternoon rolls in it will be time to enjoy a most delicious lunch which has been prepared for you and your group. Enjoy a buffet styled lunch which caters to a number of dietary preference and restrictions including vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan options. Make the most of Hacienda Guachipelin’s many choices of entrees and sides, salad bar, dessert bar, refreshing juice, coffee and tea.

Once lunch is complete it will be time to enjoy one of the best attractions at this adventure park. Your guides will drive you down to the Rio Negro Hot Springs which features ten thermal pools. These pools are naturally heated by the vast network of deep underground lava chambers which surround the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. The soothing, clear mineral waters are well known around these parts for their rejuvenating and relaxing qualities. Enjoy these hot springs at your leisure! While you’re here, treat yourself to a volcanic mud bath by smoothering the rich volcanic clay over your body as a “spa masque” before washing it off and enjoying the springs. See for yourself the incredible cleansing and rejuvenating effects of volcanic clay!

Finally, rejoin your guide and head back to your accommodation where your tour will conclude.

Please state your accommodation when booking this tour. If your accommodation falls outside of the pick up area, then we will help arrange a pick up location where you can meet your driver/guide.

Child pricing is between the age of 8 to 11 years of age. Due to the activities, this tour is not suitable for anyone under the age of 8 years of age. Private tours for groups are available on request – please use the contact form on our contact page to request a quote. Tour is subject to minimum numbers of 2 adult passengers – if numbers are not met, then you will be put on stand by until we can confirm or arrange an alternative date of departure.

Cancellations must be made a full 48 hours prior to the tour embarking, otherwise a penalty of 100% will be applied. Likewise there will also be a 100% penalty for no shows.
